Adaptive Blog

Sustainability is diverse and dynamic. In 1987 the United Nations published the Brundtland Report, titled "Our Common Future", which introduced the commonly accepted definition for sustainability - the ability to meet our own current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

Since the Brundtland Commission other definitions have emerged to describe concepts that push beyond the notion of sustenance, such as net-zero, regenerative, and net-positive, with still more to come.
